General scholarships are open to all students who meet the qualifications.
Scholarship applications are available in the counseling office.
Some scholarships are available via the web address.
Local Scholarships are awarded to MHS students or Ellis county students.

| Varies | Dual Credit Scholarship | Scholarship granted to MHS students enrolled in Dual Credit courses. Requirements include: GPA 3.0, 2 dual credit classes with passing grades, financial need or extenuating circumstances. Available to 3 students per semesters. | 2/22/07 | Kiwanis Club of Waxahachie | Describe in 50 words or less your reason for applying for this scholarship. Be sure to list any community service hours. Applications are available in the Counselor’s office.

| 3/01/07 | Daily Difference Maker Scholarship | Awarded to a Maypearl Athlete (boy or girl) who is interested in continuing education in college or tech school. A short essay is required.

| 3/01/07 | Inez Lewis Memorial Scholarship | This scholarship is offered through the Ellis County Republican Women to a senior of a Ellis County High School in the top 25% of their class. http://www.ecrw.org/page8.html Award amount $1000. |
| 3/01/07 | Robert Byrd Honors Scholarship | Texas Higher Education is granting this scholarship which is due before March 15. Entrance exam scores, GPA and class ranking will be a consideration. Only 3 students from MHS will be chosen to apply for this scholarship.

| 3/01/07 | TASSP | Principal as a member of TASSP may nominate ONE graduating senior for this recognition. Academic Excellence Award Application is in the Counselor’s office.

| 3/15/07 | Waxahachie Junior Service League | This is a $1000 scholarship award. Due before March 15. Letters of recommendation must be included. A list of community service hours should accompany the completed application form.

| 3/15/07 | Ellis County A & M Club Scholarship | This scholarship will be awarded to a student who will attend A & M University.

| 3/15/07 | M.E. Singleton Scholarship | Citizen’s National Bank offers this scholarship to students in Ellis county. Applications are available in the Counselor’s office and are due by March 30.

| 3/19/07 | TXI Community Involvement Scholarship | Scholarship awarded to outstanding Ellis county high school students. Applications available in the Counselor’s office.

| 3/30/07 | Ellis County Gardeners Scholarship | A scholarship awarded to three Ellis County students in their efforts in the study of horticulture, agriculture or related field in High School with the plan to continue those studies in college. | 4/01/07 | Lisa Miller Memorial Scholarship | Offered to a MHS student planning on majoring in Education and aspires to become a teacher. Applications are available in the Counselor’s office.

| 4/01/07 | Charles Hicks, Jr. Memorial Scholarship for Band Students | Being offered to a participant of the MHS Band but may be used for any field of study. Applications are available in the Counselor’s Office.

| 4/01/07 | Charles Hicks, Jr. DART Foundation Memorial Scholarship | Awarded to a MHS student to assist with their future education. Applications available in the Counselor’s office.

| 4/01/07 | Maypearl Association of Professional Educators (ATPE) Scholarship | Awarded to a MHS student planning on majoring in education. Application Available in the Counselor’s Office.

| 4/01/07 | First Baptist Church of Maypearl Scholarship | Awarded to a MHS student exemplifying Christian character. Applications available in the Counselor’s office.

| 4/01/07 | Mika Terry Memorial Scholarship | This scholarship is made available through a generous donation by the Terry family in memory of their beloved daughter Mika to a MHS student on the A or A/B Honor Roll. Applications available in the counselor’s office.

| 4/01/07 | Maypearl FFA Scholarship | Awarded to an active participant in Maypearl FFA. Application available in the Counselor’s office.

| 4/01/07 | Andy Austin Memorial Scholarship | The Andy Austin Memorial Scholarship is awarded in the spring of each school year to a Maypearl High Senior who desires to further his/her education and has an interest in golf, music, and/or art. Applications available in the Counselor’s office.

| 4/01/07 | Josten’s Scholarship | Awarded to a MHS student based on an essay about how the scholarship will benefit your education. Applications available in the Counselor’s office.

| 4/01/07 | L.M. Boone Scholarship | Students planning to continue their education will be interested in this scholarship. Information is available in the Counselor’s office.

| 4/01/07 | Maypearl ISD Scholarship | Scholarship available to all graduating seniors of MHS that enroll and attend a post-secondary school. See the Counselor for more information.

| 4/01/07 | Lakeview Scholarship | Lakeview Assemblies of God Camp is donating this scholarship. Community service and Character are requirements for this scholarship.
Award amount 2 - $500. |
| 4/30/07 | W.G. Roesler Scholarship | Funds to support this scholarship come from the Wilburn G. Roesler family, associates and friends. It is intended to encourage students to continue education. Deadline is April 30.

| 5/30/07 | Career Colleges & Schools of Texas Scholarship | Students who wish to continue in technical, business, or training institute for continuing education.

| 11/07/07 | J Harry Phillips Scholarship to Baylor University | A scholarship awarded to a student of an Ellis County high school that has been accepted to Baylor University. Applications are available from the Baylor Financial aid Department after admission has been granted.
